Teen Panel Beater Kills Ex-Perm Sec, Steals Car: Shocking Murder in Niger State!

In a shocking incident that has sent ripples of fear through Niger State, an 18-year-old panel beater has been arrested for the alleged murder of a former Permanent Secretary. The young man, identified as Fatiyah Abdulhakeem, is accused of stabbing Adamu Jagaba, the retired official, and stealing his Toyota Camry. According to eyewitness reports, Abdulhakeem arrived at Jagaba’s business premises under the guise of repairing a car. Without warning, he allegedly stabbed Jagaba in the head and fled in the victim’s vehicle. Nuhu Abubakar, an eyewitness, recounted the horrifying scene, stating, “The incident happened on Saturday. The panel beater came to the Jagaba industry to fix the car. There was no argument. The next thing we saw was that the panel beater entered the car and drove away while the perm sec was lying in a pool of his blood.” Sadly, Jagaba, who formerly served in the Niger State Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Swift Police Action Leads to Arrest

The Niger State Police Command acted swiftly, launching an investigation into the murder and theft. Thanks to quick information dissemination to police formations across the state, the stolen vehicle was intercepted within hours. Abdulhakeem was apprehended along Bosso Estate Road in Minna. Police spokesperson Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the arrest and the recovery of the stolen car. “During interrogation, the suspect confessed to being the victim’s car painter…He said after discussing changing the vehicle bumper, he deliberately stabbed the deceased severally on the head and neck, and also hit him multiple times with a stapler…” Abiodun stated.

During his confession, Abdulhakeem reportedly implicated other individuals in the crime. He claimed that some of Jagaba’s workers provided him with information that facilitated the attack, possibly regarding Jagaba’s routines or the location of his car keys.
