Omowunmi, the widow of the late musician Mohbad, has announced her willingness to undergo a DNA test to establish the biological paternity of her son, Liam Light, in response to mounting pressure from various quarters, including prominent activist Verydarkman and controversial commentator Kemi Olunloyo.

The controversy surrounding the paternity of Liam Light has gripped the nation, with Verydarkman leading the call for a conclusive DNA test to confirm the child’s biological connection to the late musician Mohbad. Verydarkman has repeatedly expressed doubts about the child’s paternity and has questioned Omowunmi’s claims.

In a recent video update, Verydarkman revealed that he had received information suggesting that Omowunmi had acquiesced to the demand for a DNA test. However, he remains skeptical about the credibility of any DNA results that might originate solely from her.

This skepticism stems from a previous incident when Verydarkman initially raised the issue of a DNA test. At that time, Omowunmi’s family accused him of being influenced by financial motives and even threatened to sue him for N300 million. Verydarkman has insisted that he would only trust and accept DNA test findings if they include samples from both Mohbad’s parents, in addition to that of Mohbad’s son.

Notably, Kemi Olunloyo has made significant allegations against Mohbad’s wife, asserting that Sam Larry is the biological father of Mohbad’s son. Verydarkman addressed these claims and suggested that if Olunloyo’s allegations were proven true, it could implicate not only Sam Larry but also Naira Marley, potentially making them primary suspects in the events leading to Mohbad’s untimely death.

The public’s interest in this ongoing saga continues to grow, with many eagerly awaiting the outcome of the proposed DNA test. The controversy surrounding the paternity of Liam Light underscores the need for clarity in this matter to bring closure to a tragic chapter in Nigerian music history.

The Nigerian Reporter will closely monitor developments in this story and provide updates as they become available.
