Governor Dapo Abiodun to Inaugurate Newly Appointed Commissioners and Special Advisers

In a noteworthy development, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State is set to administer the oath of office to his recently appointed Commissioners and Special Advisers on Friday.

This momentous occasion follows the prior submission of the Commissioner-nominees’ names by Governor Abiodun to the Ogun State House of Assembly for rigorous screening and ultimate confirmation. After meticulous evaluation, the Assembly has accorded their unanimous approval, deeming these individuals highly suitable for the esteemed roles within Governor Abiodun’s second-term administration.

A total of no less than 20 Commissioner-designates will be formally inaugurated during the ceremony on Friday. Notably, a significant portion of these appointees served in the capacity of commissioners during Governor Abiodun’s first term.

The official swearing-in ceremony, as conveyed by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, will transpire at the Executive Council Chamber, State Secretariat, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, promptly at 11 a.m.

A statement from the Governor’s office conveys the following: “His Excellency, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, will preside over the inauguration of Commissioners-designate and Special Advisers. This pivotal event is scheduled to commence at 11 a.m. and will be hosted at the Executive Council Chamber, State Secretariat, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital.
