Mozambique Football Team Contemplates Boycott Over Payment Dispute Ahead of Match Against Nigeria

In a turn of events, the Mozambique national football team is considering boycotting their upcoming friendly match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles. The Mambas, facing a pay dispute with their country’s Football Federation, are set to clash with the Super Eagles at Estadio Municipal de Albufeira today.

According to reports from RM Desporto, the Football Federation had initially remunerated the players with $600 each for their recent friendly against Angola, held last Friday. However, the players are now demanding an additional $600 as compensation to participate in the game against the Super Eagles.

This payment discrepancy has caused tension and uncertainty regarding the scheduled match. The Football Federation has expressed concerns that meeting the players’ demands might jeopardize the smooth execution of the friendly match.
