Boxing Champ Anthony Joshua Stays with Mom at 34 – Family First

In a candid conversation, Anthony Joshua, the renowned British-Nigerian boxer, has unveiled a surprising aspect of his life – he still resides with his mother, Yeta Odusanya, at the age of 34, and he has no immediate plans to change that arrangement.

This unconventional choice came into play in 2017 when Joshua returned to his mother’s humble two-bedroom ex-council flat, following a victorious bout against Wladimir Klitschko that reportedly earned him around £15 million.

Speaking with the esteemed interviewer, Louis Theroux, Joshua delved into his deep-rooted bond with his family and issued a fair warning to any potential future partner hoping to sway him into moving out.

“I still live with my mum,” the two-time world champion revealed to the BBC. “In our culture, we grew up in our own family home, and we support our parents. Why would I consider leaving my mum on her own just for the sake of a romantic relationship? Family holds the utmost significance.”

Joshua emphasized the gravity of this matter, suggesting that when a woman enters his life, she’s not merely entering a relationship with him; she’s essentially embracing his entire family.

Despite his fame, Joshua has managed to keep his romantic life shrouded in privacy. He cited the challenge of living up to the colossal expectations that society places on public figures as a reason for this discretion.

“I prefer to maintain a degree of privacy because it’s impossible to meet the colossal expectations set upon me,” he explained. “Everything I say can be dissected and twisted into a narrative. That’s why I keep a low profile. When you strive to be a prominent figure and seem flawless, the world is quick to pull you down. The higher you rise, the harder the fall.”

It’s worth noting that Joshua previously had an on-and-off relationship with Nicole Osbourne, the mother of his child and a former school friend. However, his current relationship status remains undisclosed.
