Atiku Campaign Spokesperson Foresees Turbulence for Tinubu in Obidient Support

President Bola Tinubu may encounter a formidable task in handling the supporters of Peter Obi, known as Obidients, compared to managing Nigeria’s economic concerns, warns Daniel Bwala, the spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council.

Bwala’s remarks came in response to Datti Baba-Ahmed, Obi’s running mate, who, despite the Supreme Court’s validation of Tinubu’s presidency, emphasized that it merely affirmed the lower courts’ illegality. Baba-Ahmed also expressed steadfastness against a leader with a questionable certificate and a history of forfeiting drug money.

However, Bwala, in a statement shared on his social media handle, pointed out that Tinubu’s real challenge lies in navigating the complexities of the Labour Party (LP) and its supporters.

“In light of Datti Baba-Ahmed’s statements, it is evident that he maintains his stance, acknowledging Tinubu’s presidency by the court. Yet, Peter Obi and Datti’s position today convinces me that Tinubu faces more challenges with the Labour Party and Obidients than the entire economic and security issues in Nigeria,” Bwala remarked.

“How Tinubu navigates this intricate situation is a subject that could be taught at universities like OAU, ABU, and Nsukka,” he concluded.
