Woman Fatally Stabbed at Abaranje, Ikotun

Abaranje, Ikotun— 47-year-old Rachel Johnson lost her life while trying to break up a fight among church members. The unfortunate event unfolded around 3 a.m. on Saturday.

Rachel’s husband, Okerube Johnson, reported the incident to the Ikotun Police Station, revealing that his wife had been fatally stabbed. According to the police, Rachel had attended a church crusade where a dispute erupted among members. In her attempt to intervene and restore peace, she was attacked by one of the brawlers who stabbed her in the neck.

Despite swift efforts to save her, Rachel succumbed to her injuries at Igando General Hospital. Her body has been transferred to Mainland General Hospital Mortuary, Yaba, for further examination through an autopsy.

The Lagos State Police, led by Senior Police Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, is actively pursuing the assailant who is currently on the run. As of now, no arrests have been made, but law enforcement is diligently working to bring the perpetrator to justice.
