Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, expressed appreciation for the commendable efforts of Senator Francis Fadahunsi in supporting Osun residents through various empowerment initiatives. The senator, representing Osun East in the Senate, has been actively working to alleviate poverty in the state.

A recent empowerment program organized by Senator Fadahunsi in Ilesa on Tuesday drew praise from Governor Adeleke’s representative, Mr. Bayo Ogungbangbe. Ogungbangbe, also the State Commissioner for Cooperative and Empowerment, highlighted the senator’s efficiency in addressing the needs of his constituents.

The empowerment program, benefiting 100 people, distributed tools such as sewing machines, hair dryers, and other essentials. Ogungbangbe emphasized that these tools would significantly contribute to providing sustainable livelihoods for the recipients.

This event marked the sixth time that Ogungbangbe collaborated with Senator Fadahunsi to distribute empowerment materials, including grants, to the constituents. Ogungbangbe acknowledged the senator’s impactful work in empowering people and extending the government’s reach in terms of support.

Encouraging the beneficiaries, Ogungbangbe urged them to utilize the provided tools judiciously, fostering personal growth and positively impacting their communities’ economies. He emphasized the importance of leveraging the empowerment to lift themselves out of poverty and contribute meaningfully to the welfare of others.

In his welcome address, Senator Fadahunsi’s representative, Mr. Wale Awofolaju, highlighted that the empowerment drive aimed to mitigate the effects of fuel subsidy removal on the constituents. The senator’s commitment to addressing economic challenges in the region was underscored by the initiative, demonstrating a dedication to the well-being of Osun State residents.
